About the Game

Rugby is a full-contact team sport played with an oval ball. Two teams compete to score points by carrying, passing, or kicking the ball into the opponent’s in-goal area. Known for physicality and strategy, it’s a game of strength, endurance, and teamwork.

Basic Rules

  • Each team has 15 players in rugby union (13 in rugby league).
  • The ball can only be passed backward or sideways.
  • Points are scored through tries, conversions, penalty kicks, and drop goals.
